The pigs are slightly different (bigger) but still pigs I think. The lion masks are great.. if only you could join with other people in your party and have a tail thing going too. So glad I sold a full stack of lunar tokens before this. I still have one stack sitting around just in case there is new stuff to buy.

Granted, I might as well ask for the lion dance at this rate.

Actually, you apparently get a mini pig only if someone in your district hands in at least one item for each dish. Some districts did not get pigs the first go round.

Still, point taken - rock bottom piggy prices. I almost bought one for 30k... glad I saved my money.

I would just like to say that I logged on for the first time this event slightly before Gaile Grey came on, had done nothing, and got myself a Mini Pig.

I lol @ all of you.

But seriously, I do feel for you guys that struggled for them. That's kinda not cool.

I found both types of mini piggies to be identical; no size difference.

I'm pleased now, I have my piggie. Had no idea it was going to be a gift like that at the end. Quite a nice surprise.

To tell you, I laughed so hard when I got the "There's a mini-pig in your inventory" announcement. It's so hilarious. (Mainly because I've sold so many tokens during the event, thinking that I won't ever get the pig because I'm not as lucky as some people.)

so, I was right and the pig was the prize!

I don't mind because if finally got one in a fotune late last night and sold it immediately - so I didn't lose anything by buying a pig earlier.

The only thing I regret is that I feel bad whoever bought it from me paid 7k more than I had paid for mine - if I could remember who it was I would give the money back because I don't like to see someone waste effort and money thinking they are getting a rare item and then finding out it is free the next day.

I still can't figure out why they included pigs in the fortunes when they were going to be given away anyway - made people waste a lot of time getting tokens when they could have been getting supplies for the feast and caused a lot of hurt feelings as people fought over what they thought was a rare item - seriously NOT COOL Anet!

It was their choice to spend money on fortunes.

1) it is Japan, get your countries straight
2) they are in most cases pvp tournament prizes or other promo giveaways, a limited number - 50-60 island guardians and 50-60 pandas, 8 kanaxais. The divine aura, grey giant are far more common uniques, the Japanese minipets are unrealistic for the average player to get, yet you can spam for 30 mins in kamadan and bag a grey giant for 25k. Don't whine, you are never going to get a panda..

oh, really I am lost for words.. wth

Sure it is, it doesnt affect you in any way, you can obtain one of these items if you have enough gold just like anyone in any country. They were given out as tournament prizes, seeing as the upcoming tournament is giving out $7000 worth of PC gear..

The average player is not meant to obtain them, that should be obvious. So basically you can't get your hands on a super-rare minipet and don't like it, huh?

I really can't believe the complaints we're seeing today.

In the real world people will always pay more to have the newest coolest gizmos the mini pig is no different, if you wanted piggy you paid a premium lets get over that.

Also think of piggy as the budget mini pet he is attainable for those of us that cant afford 300k+ for a panda although the latter is availble to those with the funds.

If there was nothing to aspire to what would be the point in playing anymore?
